how to deal with bubbles and aligning with 3m film
So decided to give honing a go and i figured that the cheapest way to go would be with the 3m micro abrasive film (3M Micro Abrasive Film for Scary Sharpening - PSA at Tools for Working Wood).
In the WIKI one of the main complaints of using the film was dealing with the air bubbles and aligning the film. I screwed up 2 sheets of film before getting it right, (Using micro abrasive film - Straight Razor Place Wiki).
I believe i have solved the problem. Before you apply the film to the glass simply spray the glass with water and the film will "float" on top and allow you to position the film to your liking then simply roll the film out with your roller and alas no bubbles and perfectly aligned film.
I hope this helps some of you out.:)
