The Friodur came in in great shape except for an over-honed toe.
1) There are scratches on the backside at the toe (tip) of the blade.
2) The blade shows excessive hone wear at the toe.
3) The honing (sharpening) of the razor is not even from toe to heel.
4) The razor is scratched around the spine (back) at the toe.
5) The edge is rolled-over at the toe.
Should I keep this razor? Should I try to even up the honing from toe to heel, or just go with it as is?
Can you throw in a picture? I'd like to see what kind of damage members think is repairable.

Looks pretty minor to me. If she gets sharp to the tip, I'd say it's okay.

Give it a shot and see if you can get the edge to clean up. It's a Friodur after all.....

The seller admits to knowing nothing about razors and has offered to refund my money. But first, let me ask you about the uneven honing.
On both sides, the hone wear along the spine starts with no wear at the heel and ends at the toe with the hone wear being about 1/16" wide.
The honed shaving edge is about 1/32" and is even over the entire edge except for the last quarter of a inch of the toe where the honing goes to 1/16".
Obviously, the razor was honed with excess pressure on the toe and none on the heel. Is this acceptable or is the razor too far gone? :thinking:
