Can anyone identify this stone?

I got this stone from my buddy last night it makes my 2k stone feel like 200 I lapped it today thus thing feels like glass I'm guessing it's something like a 4k/6k or 4k/8k stone the darker side is a dark red and leaves a reddish pink slurry and the other side leaves a creme colored slurry at first I thought it was an Arkansas stone but after some looking around I think it may be a belgian coticule it measures 5"x2 1/4"x5/8"

I'm almost positive it's a coticule! It's a natural coticule/BBW (Belgian Blue Whetstone) combination stone, i.e. it has both layers in the same piece. There really isn't an exact grit for these, and they vary, but the grit is "roughly" 4k for the blue (BBW) side and 8k for the yellow (coticule) side. It sounds like the blue side is really heavy on the garnets (which are the abrasive particles) since you described the slurry as being reddish pink. Try it out!

Nice score, where did you pick it up? Try to take a picture of each side if you can, it can help identify it although I'm 99.9% sure it's a coti.

I was at my buddy's last night an he gave me a box full of old straight razors and I was going throughout a box and found a bunch of sharpening stones and found this and he said I could have it along with a couple other stones... He can't stand the sound of a knife being sharpened
