I just get the best results with this particular stone using plain water on a glassy surface, that's all. Works great! Whatever else the slurry might add I think I'm accomplishing with other stones. For anybody who's got a PHIG, I do recommend at least trying it out with plain water after lapping it up to 2000 grit automotive sandpaper. Try to get it so glossy that you can clearly see a light bulb reflected in the dry surface. Otherwise, hey - if you like using it with slurry, more power to ya!
