    Default Progress update on honing

Well gents after honing alittle bit I'm stating to get better as I hone each blade. It's nice to get the confidence to hone of course I'm sure it will all change when I have a blade that will give me trouble

The learning curve for honing Str8 razors varies quite a lot from person to person, but it you stick with it the curve flattens out nicely, and it's a great feeling when you hone up a razor and it does just what you need it to do while shaving your face.

Keep up the good work, I've been at it for 3 years and am still learning every time I take out my Nortons.

Oh yea there will be ones that will want to make you pull your hair out for sure. Learned that much in the very short time I have been honing. The upside is that they are likely the best teachers and the most satisfying when you finally get them tamed. Glad you are enjoying the experience.

I've had plenty of those pain in the ass blades but after putting it down after awhile of trying to figure it out. It all of the sudden just works out just fine and make a great shaver which is awesome I think I know I'll always learn

Good going! The videos are great but there is nothing like actually watching someone hone in person. If you get a chance go to a meeting somewhere where someone can hone in front of you. You will learn a tremendous amount in a very short time since you have already done some on your own.

    Take Care,
