Honing a Wade Butcher
I am preparing to hone a Wade Butcher for the first time. I am able to hone a straight bladed razor but this WB has a built in smile (looks like the way it was designed). Will X-strokes cover the whole edge or is there another technique commonly use to hone a curved blade?
Thanks,
John

In your case i would use the magic marker test, and find a stroke that will cover the entire razor on both sides then bob your uncle!

A. Rolling X stroke should do the trick. Keep the spine on the
hone the entire time start off like a normal x stroke and finish it with a sleigh roll toward thetow to keep the smile smiling. :-)
