Finishing with an Escher
Hi everyone! Would like some input from the experience users. How have you found to be the best (most consistent) way to finish with and Escher or vintage Turingian? Do you start with slury? How thick? And do you dilute to water or do you leave it on? Do you do circles or X strokes? Just curious to see how others do it.
At this moment I'm experimenting with slury and diluting. I start with a sharp and smooth razor coming out the 8k, once it shave to satisfaction, I take it to the 16k Shapton glass, after that, I make milky slury on the Honhensollern (vintage yellow green Turingian) and dilute to almost water but not quite (light turbid water), also finishing with very light strokes. I'm getting some very good results, but some (few) razors don't have the wow factor that others have. I'm wondering if there are other better ways you have tried! Let me hear it and learn! Thanks to all in advanced! Double O

I use a light slurry diluted to water only, light strokes, no circles, X strokes only. Works very well for me.

You may not need to go up to the 16K before using the Escher.
