Advice on sharpening cuticle cutters

Hi all,
does anyone know if cutters like these :

could be sharpened with stones such as Norton 4/8K?

From what I see an electric disk system is the best but I'm curious.

I'm sure some type of result could be had from lying it on a 4/8, but would it be the best choice. :shrug:

If it is the size I think it is, palm size, then I would use nail buffing files on it. They are found in all beauty supply stores. Many are actually grit rated & very durable. Stay with the higher grit nail files. Most all will remove/cut metal, some better than others. Also small metal jeweler's flat file can be used. They are small enough to monitor the progress easily. Good 3M high grit, 1000, wet/dry paper can be used, if stretched tight on a flat surface, such as the bottom of a DMT plate.
Simply close the head & work the bottom side/outside bevel. Don't touch the inner bevel.

An electric disk system, do you mean something like a Dremel? Unless you are experience with one, it can cause more of a problem than what you started with.
This is assuming there are no nicks on the edge.

I will try the nail buffing files method.
I don't have the actual clippers in question, a local beauty parlor asked me if I could sharpen theirs.
I think the angle makes it impossible to sharpen on my Nortons.

He does go straight to the inside bevel with his rotary, but I'm sure he is experienced. I have sharpened my wire flush cutters, went inside once & ended up with a slight "gap" in closing.

Experience is everything here, especially if someone else has asked you to do theirs. I would not want to build my experience at the risk of someone else's equipment.

My advice here is limited to my miniature cutters related to soldering. So take my advice for what it's worth.

No way you could do them on a norton,as above,just like razor pros there are pros with specialized tools and experiance to do the job correctally'
I just picked up 22 of my carbide forstener bits from the local pro,was spendy but they are perfect.I tried to sharpen one with diamond plates once,destroyed a $25 bit in a heart beat:(
