You laugh, but I can carry my XD(m) and not have a problem, but I've had one open in my pocket several times. It's not going to cut you, it's just going to happen when you've got both hands tied up.

My EDC is a Leek an I like that hands down over the Scallion. The handle design is much more ergonomic to me.

I just cleaned it and used some flourinated grease. It is smooth and fast but at 1 USD a gram that grease better be good!

P.S. I see your blade lock fell off yours also. I wonder if that is a factory defect? :rofl2:

Serrations are almost never used like you said & I don't like the space it takes away from the straight edge.
I would like to see a strip of serrations on the spine, midway.

Now that's a good Idea right there. I think Ontario Knives made blades like that - I really liked the design. I think it was Ontario...??

This has been my EDC for the past few weeks. I like the assisted open more than the full auto. Black blade without serrations.

I like tip down. Maybe just because it's what I'm most used to though. I can grab the part of the knife that's sticking out of my pocket with my thumb and index finger, pull it out, then just wrap my hand around the handle. Works good for me.

Tip up only works for me with loose fitting pants. If I can get my thumb in my pocket along the handle and pull the knife out, then the knife ends up right where it should be. I still end up fumbling a bit most of the time to get the right grip after pulling the knife out of my pocket though.

My daily EDC is in my very friendly looking non locking Spyderco Urban with really grippy G10 scales and Japanese VG10 blade, and another little back lock Japanese Moki folder in Strawberry jigbone handles and 2 1/2 inch VG10 blade.

Yeah, in my work, the blade on the Leek would suffer if I used it for a prybar and screwdriver as I do the Scallion.
That pesky blade lock seems to be on at inopportune times, so it "fell off" ;)
The clip is a must-have for me as I clip it rearward on my right pants pocket. Always there, clipped in a ready position. Slides off and opens in one motion. Scares the hell out of parts deliverers as they set the box down, I am slicing the tape instantly! :D
