Make sure to give us a look at it when you get it.
I got lucky on the bay. I have wanted a Fallkniven F1 for a while and got lucky on a new without box knofe with zytel sheath for $82 shipped. I have 2 Spyderco Bill Moran Featherweight knives and they made me fall in love with VG-10 steel. I will post some pics when it makes it in.
Just in case it doesn't work: eBay item number: 221951647925

The reviews are spectacular!
For field work I have advocated the cheaper end of the scale only because the loss of a custom knife is more painful.
Mora (Sweden) or Helle (Norway) makes a great knife for a lot less money. You can't go wrong. Or Martiini, any Lauri/Laurin blade out of Kauhava FI as I am particularly fond of puukko.
I have been on a bushcraft sewing binge lately, made a hammock, top-quilt, and backback. I ordered a Mora 2/0 to put on my pack. I have several Mora knives I like them.
I discovered Mora a couple of years ago, after I got a perfectly nice one at a yard sale for either 1 or 2 dollars, then I researched them. They are good little knives.
Ya, me too. I had forgotten my knife in my boat and picked up a mora at the bait shop a few years back. I've lost a couple overboard, no great loss like Mike mentioned. Great knives for the $$ for sure. I just noticed that Mora offers one with a ferro rod in the handle. That's cool for a bushcraft knife.
Yep,,, that's mine in post # 3, the fire rod is tops too. Much like their Swedish Firesteel brand striker,,, the best I've found so far.
Get one of those, it will be very hard to loose it
