Damascus hunting knife
This is my first hunting knife. Last February I made a multi stage Damascus billet at Charlie's shop that I wanted to make a knife out of. It took a long time to finally do something with it due to lack of time. But I needed something to take with me wo the Gembloux knife show next month so put some haste into making this.
The steel is 1095 15N20 Damascus, made by hand in Charlie's forge.
The guard is from a piece of brass stock I got from Lynn.
And the handle is giraffe bone.
The little slot between the finger grooves and the guard is for a locking strap of a sheath.

Beautiful job of it. Congrats!

Good looking blade Bruno. I've still got my billets that I need to do something with as well.

Once again you have produced an impressive looking piece.

I particularly like how the pattern comes out of the guard and how it goes into the tip
