Don't think I've seen cheap and Benchmade in the same sentence before.
For a benchmade anything less than a 100$ is cheap :D
For the past year I've been carrying this one:

It's M390 stainless steel (pretty expensive) with a hardness of Rockwell61. Tapered tang and white micarta scales with Red G10 liners. Believe me that getting a mirror polish on this one was no easy task.
Now that the year is almost over...I'll retire it and either make myself something new...or pick something from what I already have.
Finished this one last week...it's been eyeing me....if it doesn't sell quick I'll have to claim it for myself.

I like the way you think, I worked with a guy who would buy a new set of golf clubs every year, said there was only so many good hits in a set, and once you used them up, you had to buy a new…
Nice work, like them both. Nice sheaths too, did you make them also?
Both gorgeous LX, very very nice.
Thank you very much. Yes I also make the sheaths. The top knife has both a belt sheath and a pocket sheath. And if I were to keep the bottom knife I'll also make it an accompanying belt sheath.

Nice work on those knives! I really like 390, it takes a wicked edge and holds it well!!
It works pretty well. I have to say though...that the blade on this one was way too thick.
The stock on this knife is 5.5mm at the thickest point. Coming from a 3mm blade previous I've never quite gotten used to the thickness on this one.
Next blade will be another 3mm one for me....unless it turns out to be this damascus one which is 2.5mm
