My run of custom knives are mostly kitchen knives. I have a few from our own LR Harner and Many from Japanese makers.
Beautiful Dwarvenchef! I especially like the third one which looks like a Japanese butcher knife and I like the last one.
I had a very nice boker that I bought from the Julian knife store some time ago. I recently found some material defects, so I brought it to them and they took it back no problem and since they had some new Jeff Morgan customs I used my credit to pick up 2 of them...and I got a little change back:)
The straight knife with the spear point is a knife that is made for serious hard work. The blade is 4 1/2 inches long and the handle is 4 1/4 inches long, and get this, the spine is 3/16 of an inch thick. The steel is 1095, Brass rivets and the wood I am not sure of but I will find out in a week or so as I'll be in the area again to ask.
The second is a very nice boning knife. Nothing special, just nice. The bade stands at 4 3/4 and the handle at 4 1/2. The handle is made from oak.
The sheaths were also made by Jeff Morgan and he says that these are made as they used to in the 1800's and so are the knives. I don't know the veracity of this statement but I like them none the less!

I generally go for what grabs my attention but give me a little time to think on it and I am sure I can come up with something...keep in mind I am a broke puppy though.Quote:

Custom knives is a dangerous territory that I have avoided as a knife collector. That being said, it is also a wondrous territory full of dreams and fantastical creatures and I will be building a home there once I have the money for customs.
Just wait untill you get into custom...FOLDERS...my goodness. if you though custom fixed blades were pricey.

I was looking at his knives again, and I am just amazed at the patterns in his blades. I can see skulls, moons, spiders ,flowers, fish, bats, a bumble bee, and even what looks like a nun too me. What an incredible talent. Of course they are priced accordingly.
