Thanked: 586I have a few knives. Some I use, some I don't. These are my kitchen knives:
Of them I use the santoku, the cleavers, the boner and fillet knives, the Dexter-Russel breaker, the paring knives, the big carver, the bread knife, the serrated utility and the steel (which I use every time I pick up one of these knives).
These are my tactical folders:
Of them I use only the Benchmade 940 which I never leave home without.
Then I have a collection of automatics or switchblades:
These are illegal to own, nevermind carry so if you ask, I'd have to say I don't have any, never saw them before.
Then the most fun collection, the throwing knives:
Do I use them? Hell yes!

Thanked: 7I have had a titanium dive knife for about a year now. I do a lot of diving. Most of it is freedive spearfishing. That knife has been in and out of salt water more times than I could count. I have never rinsed it off. Not ever. It still looks like its brand new, besides the scratches from bouncing off the reef.

Thanked: 20I have a few that see frequent use, opinel #7 for food away from home, a RAT RC3 and Izula for small camping chores and a Ka-Bar Khukri for big ones, SOG powerlock for fixit use and a Benchmade griptillian for generally everything else. I have a few others but they don't see much use. I'm not so much a collector as I use most of my knives for something, but I am never willingly without some type of knife. I'd prefer that most people carry at least a small SAK, mostly so they don't ask to borrow my steel so much. I'm a helpful fixit kinda guy, so I carry the tools that help make that happen.

Thanked: 67I've had a pair of Randalls for a long time, and they've each seen dozens of days in the wild. My No. 8 has been on my hip for every Colorado Trout I've yanked from a river, and my No. 3 has been on ever camping trip. Fine knives want to be used.

Collect some, use some... Some are special purpose while others are everyday use... Everything in my collection has been carried at some point.
Kershaw Leek, Buck Solo, Buck Stockman: Everyday
Cold Steel Recon Tanto, Cold Steel SRK, Cold Steel Large Voyager: Special Purpose
CRKT Dragon's Claw, Cold Steel Scottish Spike: Very Special PurposeLife is really simple, but we insist on making it complicated...

Thanked: 45I don't collect knives and the ones I own are a spydco serrated and a stag handled folder I picked up by the guy who made it in Toledo. The guy was missing 2 fingers so I figured he was a pretty hard core maker.
I use it to skin saber tooth tigers and such.

I have a few knives that I use.
I have a Swiss army that I use while at home or for little things.
Then I have a 6 inch kabar with a rubber handle that I use as a dive/water knife.
I have 2 full length kabar knives that I use while camping. One I carry on my hip and the other I strap to my bags shoulder strap.
Lately they haven't seen any use but they are all in great condition. I'll have to take them out and oil them up soon tho.Shaving_story on Instagram
