Today I've finished restoration and honing Kinfolks, K380.
This trademark was used by Case, Bradford during 1925-1948.
Interesting and comfortable knife.

Wow, that's absolutely gorgeous Manah! I have a Blue Steel and Wedge razor by Kinfolks and they're exceptional shavers.
There's a reality show here on the History Channel about a pawn shop in Vegas and one of the episodes features a guy wanting to sell some old war knives. One of them was a Kinfolks and when the weapons expert came in to do an appraisal he spoke very highly of the knife and it was valued at a few hundred dollars.
It kinda looked like the "Survival Knife" listed on the Kinfolks website here:
Kinfolks Incorporated - Knives of Quality and Distinction
Thanks, I found this knife in the catalog 1939 on that website.

Beautiful Job. I recently came across a K380 that my father gave me when I was young, am 60+ now. Unfortunately it looks like your picture of original condition. Could you share how you achieved such a beautiful finish? Would love to bring the knife back to its original condition and pass it down to my son.
thanks.
Nothing difficult. Sandpaper 600 grit, 800, 1200. And polish with CrO.
I spoke with Dean Elliott Case, Grandson of Kinfolks president Dean J Case, he told, that the result look like new original knife.
Thanks, I will give it a try. Did you restore the leather handle? Not sure how to attempt that. Mine is pretty rough with lots of rust pitting so it will never come back to a like new condition but will certainly be an improvement. I assume that as they are old knives they have good quality steel in them and can be honed to a very sharp edge. Did you bring yours up to cutting quality of leave it clean and bright?
thanks again. Will be a fun project.
