Welcome to the forum. I've spent quite a bit of time working in Wellington over the years. Used to enjoy a cold glass of Sassy Red at Shed 5.
Welcome aboard the SRP, I hope your newly found shaving hobby to be as big a success as your rugby team the All Blacks.

Welcome, I was talking to a train driver called mesi from Wellington earlier today. Where are you up to in your shaving odysey?
Welcome here.
Congrats on the Tri-nations with the All-Blacks winning, but beware, the Springboks are coming next year to claim their title:rock:
Have a good day and enjoy the reading!
Hi and welcome. Hopefully we can help you achieve that real shave your looking for.
G'Day and welcome from across the 'dutch'
So you have lathering down, an idea of what you will be doing with the straight, so it's just the stropping, I reckon you'll be fine. If you get your strop you could probably use the shavette sans blade to practice stropping technique.
Do you have any ideas on what sort of razor you want?
:chapeau Greetings & Welcome to another Wellingtonian
I have only ever bought secondhand razors, but that seems to be a popular one for a first razor, just ensure you buy from somewhere that hones the razor by hand to shave ready and doesn't just supply the factory honed, it you will have to send it off for honing.
Of the razors I have I prefer closer to 6/8 but that's just me. Mine are also all different styles so it might be that I prefer hollower or frameback razors.
