Hello and welcome, do you have any gear yet?
I picked up a sight unseen from whipped dog, poor man's strop, and recently ordered a silver tip.
I initially purchased the straight to simply line my beard. Now I'm debating shaving it because the straight obsession is kicking in.
Tough call though. I put a lot into this beard haha. Haven't been without facial hair in about five years.
Hi and welcome. Im unfortunately in the same boat as swmbo won't let me shave the beard. Did so when on holidays a few weeks ago and got told not happening again. Was worth it though as I finally got to do a full shave. Hope the shaves are going well but if any prob ask questions as we like help. Good luck. Ed
Yeah, I'm thinking back to a goatee is in my feature. Lamb chops won't really be acceptable in my line of work.
The wife hated when I grew the beard, now she doesn't want me to shave it.
So far, so good, but it's been mostly lining my beard. Easier on the dominant hand, struggle a bit on the left side.
FYI, we're all named Ed, kinda funny.
welcome Ed,
do a full shave on your dominant side and just leave a full beard on the left. best of both worlds!
Pete
Welcome also called Ed. Listen to that previous bunch of Ed's and whatnots and you'll be in the goofy group with us. Had a full beard for forty years. Just said to myself, gulp, "I have to do this!". Electric beard trimmer first and then the reprieve and saved a goatee for memories sake. Easiest to trim around and hides the chin properly.
Enjoy your trip with SRP and ask, ask, ask many questions. Thousands of answers are waiting.
Just to clarify razorfeld isn't called ed (well not officially, but we could pretend I suppose). You could always shave the beard off once in a while.
Not by the hairs of my chiney chin, chin!
Ed spelled backward is DE, you take it from there.
Ed, you are a good friend but, you really have too much time on your sdnah. Time for your vacation on the upside of the world.
Glad my intro created some banter :). I think I'm going to like it here.
MrWiggly, you have no idea! You've awakened the rowdy Aussies, one Geordian and at least one brash old fart of an American. Remember the old saying, "Be careful what you ask for". But doesn't hold true on anything you are asking related to shaving and it's support systems. So ask away and enjoy the ride.
First welcome in, a lot of great information here,
and I am sure you have poked through the library and such so I won't throw that in the hat.
As for the banter you said you have been a long time lurker so,
well I will leave that for what it is. :p
Anyways glad to have you.
