Hey, a newb here in Indiana. Have a shavette that I have been using while waiting on a restore that my brother is doing for me. Today I saw a post that mentioned the razor being left handed, it was a kamisuri. Up until today I had never heard of a left or right handed blade, been left handed this is something that I usualy take note of. Is this something that I should worry about when looking for razors? And what exactly is the difference?
I don't have all the technical perimeters for a complete answer, however, the razor in question is not symmetrically ground and the left and right refers to which side of the blade is hollow ground
I have a newer Kamisori given to me by my best friend for my 50th Birthday. Now i gotta tell him he owes me another for the other hand!

Rez is correct, the blade is hollow ground on one side only, and flat ground on the other. I switch hands with it and get a fine shave on both sides. No need to worry. Not sure why they would make them left and right.
Same as traditional Japanese kitchen knives. It's a "single bevel" thing. That's what causes right/left handedness.
I have no face-shaving experience with such.
One word of caution about Kamisoris. I am not sure if anyone else had this problem, but due to the shape of the toe it "scratched" my strop. Didn't cut it, just put a giant wear mark down the strop.
