Well, I am anxiously learning all I can about the art of straight razor shaving. Cheap razor, shaves the hair off my arm with ease but not quite shave ready! Zip zap, my face is torn to shreds!!

SRP is a wealth of great info, and as soon as my razor gets back from being professionally honed, (and my face heals!) I will try it again! You guys rock! Thank you so much for so freely giving of your time and experience.

BTW, I am in Bullhead City, AZ, on the awesome Colorado river! Anyone close?

Welcome. There is a lot of information here. Wise choice on sending your razor out. It is tough to learn to hone and shave at the same time.
