    Default Hi

    First post!

been reading on here for a while, started shaving with a shavette and love the whole straight razor experience so went and bought a new dovo. I found two old razors at my dads house and thought I would give honing a go with these first but i want to identify them first before I potentially wreck them! Anyway I saw some references to vintage razors on here once, can someone point me in the right direction?

This may be what you're looking for...

Category:Straight Razor Database - Straight Razor Place Library

Or you could try the search box in the top right corner. And welcome to the Forum

    S4m, Welcome to SRP.
You could also post pictures of your razors if you can't find them in the database. There are some first-rate razor detectives on SRP and in general the members here like looking at razors and shaving equipment.

Welcome. It is a good idea to have your location in your profile in order to facilitate people close to you being able to render one on one help

    Looks salvageable to me.

You going to do the work? Or you shipping it off to someone?

I wouldn't know where to start! Would be a nice project though. Still don't know what it is!

You could do it yourself sanding the blade by hand if you decide to have a go just be careful on the face of the blade or you'll lose the Hamburg Ring etching
