Hello from KC, MO
Hi, I'm Brad and i live near Kansas City, MO.
I've been shaving with 2 blade Gillette disposables for the last seven or eight years. Started using a cheap brush and soap i got for prep lately and like the improved results vs my old canned stuff. I'm thinking about jumping into straight razor shaving.
Looking at maybe a sight unseen from whipped dog to get me started without breaking the bank.
Trying to do some research to decide on 5/8 or 6/8, quarter hollow, half hollow, or full hollow.
Thought it appropriate to stop in and introduce myself. Any advice or input is appreciated.

Welcome to SRP, Capn!
I recommend picking up some C.O. Bigelow shaving cream tube from Bath & Bodyworks. It's a good cream at a good price.
The classifieds here are a good place to find aused razor in good condition. Either 5/8 or 6/8 is a good size to start with. Round points are often recommended for beginners.

Hi and welcome. Any of the options you put forward will be fine to start with and it really comes down to personal preference. Do a bit of reading in the library and you will find most of the answers to the questions you have. If you can't find the answer feel free to ask
