Greetings from Portugal
Hi all,
My name is Nuno Sá and my first razor was a straight razor a Gebr. Weyersberg 5/8, my father gave it to me when i was 16 years old honouring a tradition that is going on from father to son.
Until 3 month i was using shavettes only since i didn´t knew anyone who could hone my razor. I February i bought some SR´s, good soap and brushes, and got into this wet shaving addiction. Last last week i got a Colibri 7 Forgé & évide a Solingen 7/8, a A&M Feys Rousselare 6/8” and i´m still waiting for a Red Imp 11/16.
Since Monday i have been using both razors and i had wonderful shaves with them, since i don´t have a strop yet, i´m also waiting for one to arrive, i´m using a newspaper as strop with good results.
Also on the way are two Naniwa wet stones a 8k and a 12k that i got to start practising my honing skills.

Welcome to SRP! Sounds like you are off to a great start. Enjoy the journey. :)

Welcome to the Place NunoSa
Looks like a good start there
I would personally invest in a leather strop before looking at more blades or honing etc GMHO
Either way plenty to learn from here, make the most of all the vids & write ups etc and enjoy yourself

Hi and welcome. Sounds like wet shaving runs in the family and you already know all the basics. Good idea to check out the stroptober thread in the stropping forum and the youtube vids by Lynn Abrams and Gssixgun on honing. Good luck and any questions feel free to ask.

Hey Nuno Sá! Welcome to SRP! It sounds like your well on your way to becoming a self sufficient wet shaver! With the gear you've got on the way, you have everything you need to keep those straights in fighting trim.
Remember, the "Library" tab at the top of the page is an excellent source of helpful information, and don't hesitate to ask questions!
