Hello from colonial beach VA

I have been reading and learning from this forum for a few weeks now. I have to say thanks for all the great info. I need to throw a special thank you to Larry from whippeddog.com . After researching on here I figured Larry was the guy to talk to if I wanted to get into the straight razor game. He hooked me up with a nice straight razor that was perfectly re-honed and shave ready. And a nice "poor mans" strop kit.

Well the razor came in yesterday and I got the first shave this morning with some classic bay rum soap. I have to say, best shave ive ever had. Now, it wasnt perfect and I will need to tune my razor and lather techniques to continue to chase that perfect shave, but man am I glad I was introduced to this world of straight razors.

Just wanted to say thanks to all of you on this forum for getting me started in the right direction.

The beach is great. Tons of golf carts riding around. Just moved from across the potomac in maryland. Small world!
