Hello From Maryland

So, got back into wet shaving a little less than a year ago, using DE razors, and started collecting, too.

Recently decided, what the hell... lets try straight... So here I am. I currently have an old Joseph Rodgers and son "The Rodgers" model, which I dont think I am going to shave with at the moment (though its shave ready from Whipped Dog), and may get some new scales for... and have both a Torrey and a Ralf Aust (new from SRD) on the way that think will be my main shaving razors.

Wish me luck on my first shaves! :D

Welcome Aldwyn. Looks like you've made some great choices. The butter knife suggestion is outstanding. Learning how to properly use a strop is essential. The process of shaving with a str8 takes time. So don't rush. Reach out to see if you can find a SRP member in your area to get some additional help in this process.
