Hi all,
Joined the SRP since a few weeks, but didn't introduced myself yet.
I'm Martijn from the Netherlands, 36 years old.
I've used a DE razor for a while, and I'm using a straight razor since 1 year...now I'm hooked!
I'm also restoring straight razors for a friend of mine (most of them will be sold).
All razors will be sanded, polished and some will be re-scaled.
Just love to restore these old razors, and get them back in shaving condition.
I've seen many custom razors coming by on the SRP, and now I'm thinking of getting myself a belt grinder :-)
Hoping to get a lot of info and learn from you all (I'm sure I will!)
Here are some pictures of recently restored razors
GB anchor 9/8 with ebony scales, Herder #22 7/8 with Ironwood scales, Herder #24 13/16 with Ebonized Jatabo scales, Widerstrahl #718 6/8 with snakewood scales and a Edaco 6/8 with the original scales.

Looks like you've already decided restorations are a part of the attraction for you- Good call! Some fine looking specimens you've posted. The abundance of resources you will find here is voluminous. Be sure to hit the "Library" (Straight Razor Place Library - Straight Razor Place Library) for some light reading! Well worth the price of admission alone :)

Welcome! Good to have you here. Nice-looking restores. I have a razor sold in Oostberg. I might be picking your brain about it.
