Hello From Texas
I'm not sure if I was suppose to hit new thread if I was not I'm sorry already. I was hoping to figure this site out. I have been reading the post on here for a long time now. I'm not a rookie with straight razors, but I am new to the site. I got my first straight razor in San Angelo, TX in 1980 at a gun and knife show. I have been playing with them ever since then, and I still have a question now & then.

Alien, are you still in San Angelo? Went to grad school out there at ASU from 2000-2003. Always called it a black hole when I was there, but now that I'm not, I find myself missing it now and then. The grass is always greener...

sst3wart, I was born there, but I left after high school. I live in the south east part of Texas now, and have worked here for the pass 30 + years. I use to bowl over there across from the college. I don't know if it is still there but the Dallas Cowboys & the Houston Oilers use to eat a lot at Zentners Daughters there across close to the Ram's football field. Has the college become Texas Tech when you were there ? It was Angelo State Rams when I liver there. I liked that place as well.

Alien,
Zentners Daughter is still kickin. Two of my best friends worked there. When I was there, Angelo State was part of the Texas State University system, but I think they recently went to the Texas Tech system.
We had a lot of good times out at the state park and Lake Nasworthy (aka Lake Nasty Water). OC Fisher lake was pretty much dry while I was there. Used to go four wheeling in the lake bottoms.

sst3wart, That is good to hear. I have often tried to tell people about the hamburgers and steaks that I witnessed as a kid out there. No one believes me about the food looking like it came off of a Flintstone cartoon. I have an 84 year old Aunt that lives where the old Chimney Rock Steak house use to be located. She told me that the water was drying up out there. Those people may end up in a bad way with out water. I am really glad you chimed in to say hello. :D
