In a way we are like a bunch of addicts. All I can say the initial high of learning about the hobby does die down over time. Maybe we need a support group for the women who are sometimes annoyed by our eccentricities.
You might be asking the wrong group of people - we are all shaving nuts! :)
Beginners are often on a high for a few weeks or months and then they back off talking about it every second of the day.
My wife just gives the "look" in public or tells me to shut up if we are alone.
Hi and Welcome. :chapeau
That's awesome -- what a great way to support the hubby. Welcome to the forum.
BTW: you may want to take control of the finances ASAP. ;)
LadyRyeBread;
Welcome to the SRP Forum! :)
I am glad that you are taking the time to learn about your husband's new hobby. I am sure that this will give you some topics to discuss around the dinner table. Please be advised that there is a lady's section that you may enjoy visiting. You may decide to take up the art as well.
Here is a link that will help you find other SRP members in your area, just insert your location and hit search now. Note that the user name listing in red is a mentor, if you should need any personal help.
Here is a link to the SRP Beginners Guide to Straight Shaving. This will help you with the things you need to know before you begin your experience with a straight razor.
Here is a link to the SRP Library. This will help you with pretty much anything relating to shaving with a straight razor.
Welcome to you and your husband to the world of straight razor shaving!
:gl:
No cell phones at the dinner table.
Or so says my wife
Welcome aboard from a bit further south
the links above will get you started & you might find the Ladies Corner great for yourself
Hi and welcome. You be careful now crawler as she will be able to see ALL your posts now.
Welcome to the forum.. crawler no way to hide the shave den purchases now...
Yeah, my first thought was: how sweet, I wish my wife would do something like that.
Now I'm realizing that it's a good thing she doesn't know how much that damascus Brian Brown custom razor she saw me shaving with this morning cost.
eBay and SRP will become his mistresses!
You better hold onto her. :)
Welcome! Enjoy this great resource. It's a 300 dollar buy in. Just give that to crawler, he knows what to do with it.
If everyone's significant others were on the forum. The "What Do You Have In The Mail Right Now?" thread would probably have about 4 post, instead of 154 pages worth.
Welcome to SRP
A warm welcome to the both of you. We are a family values site. For us boys we call it wet shaving. My wife is now addicted and I shave her face and we call it Microdermabrasion . Spa cost $ 150 per treatment. Safety razors for her legs and its a non disposable family affair. You can help and choose shaving soaps scents , amount of glide/slickness and enjoy an upgrade of personal hygiene products. And your husband can buy more straights to introduce you to the lifestyle. Welcome to younger looking healthier skin and save the plant all at the same time.
Welcome to the best forum on the web. Nice to see a partner/wife sharing the same interests. My good lady is now DE shaving her legs (and I help with the hard to reach areas) due to my SR addiction. I bought her a lovely Edwin Jagger DE, shaving brush and DR Harris rose shaving cream. I still get a little static from her for my RAD but I wouldn't have it any other way.
Welcome to SRP, glad to see the Lady of the house taking charge.
