olá a todos from High Springs, Florida

hey all....new to shaving. Huh? Well, I never really learned how. I've been using those cartridge things for many years but never really knew what I was doing and it was obvious once I started getting wet. That's funny - I'm a cave diver so I guess getting wet is in my blood.
Anyhow, I'm very new to DE shaving (but already holy hooked!) but incredibly intrigued but this straight razor thing so here I am.
I live alone (though, I just got engaged to an amazing gal and hope to fix that) but travel extensively for work (and play when I can.)

I am really jazzed to learn about this stuff. I really don't even know step 1 so I'm going to go read a bunch of forums. I see the beginner's forums and a bunch of stickies so I'll start there.
Tips are very, very welcome.
