welcome and enyoy of this forum
Hi Neal & welcome aboard. This is the place with a wealth of information plus many knowledgable members so just be patient, take your time & you will be reading a lot of good information for hours. Your most important tool you will need with a straight is a strop & knowing how to use one so if you go to the Beginners Guide in the Library here & then move on from there, you will be okay. It will show you how to strop & everything else. You can by the way, practice stropping with a dull knife or butter knife until you feel comfortable enough to use one w/o cutting a strop & dulling a good edge on a straight razor. Great to have you here so any questions, just ask.
Good luck my friend.
Hi and welcome aboard. Any questions feel free to ask
Thanks for the welcome and encouragement. I have no doubt I'll get it down. Just this early learning phase tends to give me fits. Had the same problem with the AC razors though so I know patience wins out. Now, where can I buy patience? lol
Thanks for the welcome. I'm sure I'll be reading a lot and learning a lot. Off to the Beginner's Guide I go!
Welcome. I am in Lake St. Louis myself.
You sir, have the good fortune of living near the Honing Dude himself. Lynn, the founder of this forum and a heck of a nice guy who happens to know quite a bit
:w
about razors and all related things, lives in St. Louis now. If you need help with anything, he's the guy to visit.
