Hi All!! Been shaving with a 1966 Fatboy for a while and decided to make the jump to a straight... Borrowed one from a buddy and am now looking to buy my own. Considering a Dovo Gentleman. Any thoughts and suggestions would be appreciated.

Standard suggestions, classifieds here for a nice vintage. Or straight razor designs any razor, though Ralf Aust gets amazing reviews. I'd you want to spend more, then you're in the realm of custom razors.
All the best.
Hi and welcome to SRP
I started off with a Dovo ebony, it served me well, just make sure its shave ready when you get it, or send it out to one of the honers in the classifieds if its not,
Straight razor designs sells Dovo, and it WILL be shave ready if purchased from there.
Nice to have you here.
Hi and welcome. Can't give much advice on new as all I have new is a Ralf Aust from srd all the rest are vintage. Lots of lovely vintage razors in the classifieds or some of the vendors that are on this site.
Hello, and welcome to the forum!
Welcome from just north of you, read all you can and try to listen to these guys. Made my life much simpler. Tc
Welcome. I have only been to Jackson once, but it seemed like a nice place. Good luck with the shaving.
Oh yes, I went to Ole Miss, years ago.
Thanks for the responses. My razor and strop should be delivered today. I went with the Ralf Aust.
GO REBELS!!!!
Good luck. It's very challenging at first. I am just over a year in to shaving this way and I just loved it's!
