    Default Long time lurker

    I'm a long time lurker here and figured I'd take the plunge. I've been straight shaving for a while and getting better all the time. My main area of needed improvement is honing. I have several great razors laying around that I just can't get a bevel on, mostly ones with light hone ware.

    Welcome! Honing can be tricky, especially if there is an issue with the razor such as a warp. You might consider getting them professionally honed first so you have a benchmark and then you can touch them up to keep them smooth
    When you do take the honing plunge, +1 on visiting the honing section here for more information than you will know what to do with!

    Welcome to SRP, now that you're a member you'll wished you signed up sooner, or not at all if SWMBO already thinks you spend too much time here.
