new here
Hello Gentlemen!
My name is Maurice and I am from the Netherlands.
After a half of a lifetime interested in nature, outdoors, bushcraft and also of course knives and stones only last year (38 years) I started shaving with a Straight Razor :)
I got two very old razors with were (seemed later) worn out.
So I bought a new 5/8 beginners Dovo and found some nice vintage razors later. They are a Trition 8/8, a Stauss and a other blade.
Still learning the shaving techniques! Practising sharpening with a Coticule and some stropping compound.
Lots to learn but a nice hobby and very practical too!
I hope to learn alot here and have a nice time

I've been playing with straight razors for nearly 15 years and I'm still learning new things too!

thanks Benz!
I actually posted this, since I like this the most
Very comfortable, I can handle it better then a (mostly suggested to beginner) 5/8
Absolutely lovely blade for 17 euro 50 cent ;)

You have very nice razors and hones so you are off to a great start. Unless you choose to go overboard, it looks like you already have everything that you need. How are your shaves? I know you said you are still learning but are you happy with your shaves?

Thank you! I started off with some cuts here and there, but they got less. This month no cuts and nice fresh shaves. Since I do straight razor shaves I started loving shaving. So very practical too. Also very clean shaves so no anoying maxhine or not functional (for me) modern gilette.
