Thanked: 0Greetings from the UK
Hello all,
I've been hovering like a vulture over the Wiki section of this site for about 2 months, so i thought it was about time I registered, and say thank you to everyone who has taken the time to contribute to such an amazing resource for straight razor beginners. I finally got sick of paying stupid amounts of money for disposables that clogged up and died after a weekend's growth, and decided a straight razor was the way to go. All my research and everything I have learned, I have got from Lynn's videos and from all the info and posts on this site - huge thanks to you all. This was originally a cost-cutting, waste-saving exercise for me. I had not anticipated at all that it would turn a tedious daily chore into my most treasured daily ritual, and also a hobby which drives my wife nuts. I believe we call that kind of win a 'twofer'.
I have attached a photo of the pair of 5/8" Gottas that are now interfering with my marriage. When I have learned to hone these beauties properly, and to shave my chin in one pass rather than the multiple ham-fisted swipes that I currently employ...I will die a happy man. looking forward to advice on those topics from all you straight razor veterans out there.
Cheers all.

Welcome to SRP!
Nice razor set.
The chin can be a difficult area to deal with. Just take it slow.
