Hello to all from a happy noob!

Greetings friends,
I'm very happy that I found the Straight Razor Place. What an awesome community, full of knowledge and helpful information.
I've been shaving with an A.P. Donovan for about a month now and just had my first shave with a Wade & Butcher "For Barbers" chopper that I just purchased. Wow! Loved the whole experience, but suffered more cuts than I've ever had with my 5/8 A.P.D. I'm sure I stroped it incorrectly or had the angle wrong. Either way, I'm hooked. :rock:
Well, thanks for reading. I hope to get more and more proficient and be able to contribute to the forums as soon as I can.

Wade & Butcher razors are top notch Sheffield razors.
You might want to have it looked at to see if the edge is shave ready. Many people sell razors and claim that they are shave ready when, in fact, they are nowhere close. Take a look in the Local Help section and see if there is anyone close to you. It would be greatly beneficial to you at this stage of the game to meet with someone experienced.

Like others said check out who may live close to you for some one on one.
You might put the region/area of Florida you're in...you'd be surprised how quickly a member close by will reach out.

+1 the local help! If you get lucky they may even have you honing your own razors in a few weeks. Welcome aboard :)
