    Hi Steve,

Welcome to the SRP you just so happen to land in the ultimate forum if your interests include straight razors, I can see already you have a fine collection of Japanese steel I'm going to have to keep my eye on you.

    Thanks for the welcome everyone.

A few Sheffield razors will be purchased, but after an initial flurry of purchases I'll be slowing down for a while. I have to indulge my other 'hobby' first which is heavy on the wallet. I'm not far from Sheffield and I'm there quite often, a few of the old razor works are still standing and are listed buildings, Butchers is now converted into residential dwellings, the sheaf works of Greaves is now home to a company in marketing I believe. You can still see the Sheaf Works carved in stone behind the Sheaf Quay sign.

I'm not honing yet Addison, the subject is one of the reasons I ended up here. Jamie has kindly honed for me so far and is doing a few more this month for me. Jamie, I may have a few but yours are in a different league.

Enough rambling from me, here's a few razor pics, we all like razor pics...

Welcome to the forum Steve. A fine collection already. That Pelican 32 is beautiful and since it came from Jamie, I'm sure it had an amazing edge.
