To upload pictures, look for the Actions/Effects (not sure what else to call it) bar above your Quick Reply window frame (looks same in Advanced Reply but position will be different due to added features). You can select text and apply Bold, Italics, or Underline towards the left-end.

Three icons in from the right-end is the "Insert Image" button. It will pop up a small dialog window that will allow you to "select files" from the Internet (URL) or your computer (it's clearer on a PC vs. iPad). Once you have selected the file(s) you want, press/click "upload" and wait a few seconds. When you are returned back to your Reply area, you will see a line indicating the attachment with some large number. Then, you are all set to continue typing or complete your post.
