Good afternoon,
I've been into traditional wet shaving for a half year or so, and for my birthday last month I decided to give shaving with a straight razor a go. Went with a Whipped Dog Sight Unseen which turned out to be a Hess Hair Milk Laboratories straight. I then decided to go with the SRD Modular Paddle Strop, so that I could focus on my technique.
I've got about 20 shaves with a straight under my belt, mainly just a single WTG pass on the cheeks but I have done under the lower lip and even neck.
I'm a member at another wet shaving forum, but since I'm getting into straights I decided to join up here.
So a bit about myself...
Mid 30s, divorced, live alone with my two dogs near St. Louis, MO. My job requires me to be clean shaven, huge Star Wars fan, play kickball and softball, cornhole, enjoy nights on the patio and my favorite color is plaid.
I've picked up a few Shumate and Shapleight razors simply because they are from St. Louis and I like the idea of eventually using some "St. Louis steel."
Happy 2nd of July!
