Introductions
Hello, fellow gentlemen and brothers. When I am not busy at work shaving pine flakes with my hand sharpened chisels and planes, I am enjoying the satisfaction of a good shave at home with a straight razor.
I have been using an SR for a year now and, although still a beginner, I feel that I have achieved basic proficiency in shaving, stropping, and honing. The quality of my shaves exceed any safety razor I have used, but I think that if I ever returned to a safety razor, I could get a better shave based on the skills a straight razor has taught me. Many posts on this forum have helped me as well, so I offer you all my grattitude.
Thank you.

Welcome to the forum. I have found that when I go back to using a DE razor when travelling my skills have improved due to my technique using a straight razor, so I would say that your assessment is correct. That said I only ever go back when I have to, there is something so satisfying about using a straight razor.
Good luck and enjoy.
