A little different path toward SR's...
Well I'm way beyond fashionably late here in making my intro post so I apologize in advance. I've been perusing the site for so long that now I just feel downright guilty for not contributing at least a little bit.
I decided to get into SR's after dealing with a prolonged battle with Alopecia Barbae. For those that are unfamiliar with the condition it's basically harmless except for the development of bald patches in your beard. This started as a dime size spot on my neck around 2011 and eventually grew and grew until the facial hair around my neck was almost completely gone. At the time it was no big deal as I shaved everyday anyway and it wasn't really all that noticeable. Eventually another spot developed on my chin and my jawline which became really pronounced if I went a day or two without shaving.
Skip a few years forward of relentless shaving everyday and eventually I was completely burned out from anything having to do with the whole process. I did some scouring of the web and came across traditional wet shaving in hopes of finding a way to really maximize the time in between shaves and maybe who knows have a little fun along the way. Like many, I came across DE wet shaving and along the way tripped and fell into the SR abyss and haven't been able to crawl out. It's been a blast and I've been having really good success after almost a year in a row of SR shaves!
To all the regular contributors and members I say THANK YOU for the plethora of info, pics and all around insight that you have added over the years. I've learned so much and greatly appreciate all that you do to make this forum so special. Cheers!
