Good morning fellow shavers and shavettes! Although I’m not new to straight razor shaving, I am new to honing. I hope to learn much on this board. Peace ✌🏾

Welcome. Honing is a big focus on this forum.
CHeck out the Library and the Honing sub-forum.
Honing is for hosers! Send you razor out to be sharpened and sleep well at night I say! It’ll be cheaper to send out too - I promise.
Lol. Cheaper maybe, but no where as much fun.
What’s your plan? Natural, synthetic? Both? Big Welcome from KS.
Boy....this can get deep into yer pockets.
I'd suggest you start with a good set of Naniwa, synthetic hones. 1, 5, 8, & 12000 grit, will cover it very well.
Welcome to SRP! There is a ton of information to be found here on the topic of honing. Be sure to also check out Glen's YouTube videos on the subject (search YT for "gssixgun honing"). However, if you manage to connect with someone in your area for one on one instruction or attend a meet-up (helps to add your location to your profile), you will do well to flatten out the learning curve and avoid common pitfalls.
If you have any questions, be sure to ask away. :)
Welcome to SRP!!!!
You've come to the right place to learn. Some amazing Gents here to guide you on your journey across the stones.
As mentioned, check out the LIBRARY a lot of great info in there.
Enjoy and have fun!!!!
Welcome. What's your location? There may be a member near you. Start on a cheap (inexpensive) razor. Don't ruin your good ones.
What outback said.
After watching many YouTube videos and checking prices I settled on the Naniwa 1, 5, 8, & 12K stones and a DMT 8" 320 for flattening. After approximately a year I'm still working on learning to use them properly. Definitely not at a professional level but getting better.
Hello, welcome to SRP.
Welcome.
