Hi everyone,
I just got into straight razor shaving and discovered this site whilst shopping for a razor! I am excited about learning more about the hobby and will very likely buy a razor from a fellow forum-goer in the near future.

Welcome to SRP!
We would be more than happy to help you along the path to straight razor shaving. Begin by reading the info in our library on beginners learning to straight razor shave. Keep an eye on the buy, sell, trade thread and you can pick up a truly shave ready razors from one the guys here and you're on your way. Two razors are the best way to start but one will get you going.
Ask any questions along the way and we will be happy to give you our opinions. Here's to one of the finest shaves you have ever had. :beer2: But don't think it's going to be right away. The rule of thumb is: After 100 shaves you start to know what your doing and the great shave is just around the corner. Be patient and go slow!
Welcome to SRP! The B/S/T area is a great place to pick up some good deals on shave ready razors. There's a great deal on a lesser-known, but obviously well-ground German blade available right now for $65.
If you have any questions, always feel free to ask. :)
Welcome aboard, enjoy the journey.:)

Really, have fun, enjoy your self, ask questions, and look thru the beginners guide, and the library.
Hello and welcome to SRP. I love Reno. I was born in "The biggest little city in the world" many, many years ago. At the time, my father sold neon signs, and sold Bill Harrah a sign for his first business, a bingo parlor!
Welcome aboard. Enjoy the pics and the advice. There are also plenty of guys that are willing to help with advice and even by doing work to help you out. This is the best forum in the hobby.
So Harrah started off with the easy prey first? Interesting. Gambling must be a helluva drug. ;)
Vintage neon signs are fantastic by the way. From my most favorite pizzeria in the world, Antonio’s Flying Pizza (Houston, TX). OBTW, both arms “move” AND the pie flies endlessly up/down! ::>>
