Somehow I managed to delete my last reply. I was wondering of you guys can make a suggestion about a good beginner razor, preferably new, not Dovo, shave ready and from a seller in EU.

    Hi PhoenX,

What are the two shaving creams in your top picture. The green and yellow ones.

You never realize what you have until it's gone -- Toilet paper is a good example

    Hi Steve,

The green one is strop paste (Chromium Oxide) and the yellow one is strop conditioner. My previous cheap strop was super dry so the yellow one helped a lot. Do you use anything on your strop? That's one topic that I haven't got to explore on the forum yet.

Never used a "conditioner" on leather strops.

I rub my palms on the strop in use 3 or 4 times per day. On the very rare occasion I have used 100% Neets foot oil. In the winter I will rub the leather with a damp towel. This puts Some moisture in the leather. I read once leather should have 20% moisture.

    Some people oil regularly.

There are several threads on strop maintenance. They are worth a read.

Thank you for the information Dave. I will definately read on how to maintain the new strop. What is your favorite strop size?
