Hello from Boston
Just joined SRP so thought I would say hi. I got my first shave brush and traditional cream more than 10 years ago it didn't really start falling down the rabbit hole until about 4 years ago building up a nice shave brush collection and about a half dozen de/se razors. Although I have had two straight razors for about 3 or 4 years it wasn't until about a month ago that I really got interested in using them. This time I decided to try an artist club to take maintenance and blade sharpness out of the equation and could focus on technique. Now that I have started getting the hang of it I have plunged right in and am trying out both western and kamisori styles and various grinds. It's like rediscovering wet shaving all over again.

Welcome. Sounds like you’ve made a good start and are well prepped to shave regularly with a straight razor.
Enjoy the forums - I’m sure you will find several that match your interests.
When you are ready to fall down the other rabbit holes (hones, strops, soaps/creams etc.) you will find all kinds of advice from many experienced enablers.
Don’t be afraid to ask a question. There will always be someone to provide an answer based on experience.
