Just curious... You don't REALLY believe there is a bottom do you Mike?

Oh yeah, almost forgot. Consider trying Mitchell's Wool Fat shave soap. It is an excellent choice for purpose. I hear the scent is not stellar. I can't tell. Don't have much sense of smell.

Getting better. This morning, just one little slice by my right sideburn due to loss of focus.

Tried that sample of Stirling Christmas scent....not my cup of tea. All in all, wonderful shave. I'd give it an 8/10, loss of points all on my technique, not that very nice vintage straight you have me, Gasman.

In Chicago today....these people damage my calm.

Welcome to the forum. I am working my way through a number of Stirling samples. The Sheep is outstanding. Very creamy (no scent tho). Just finished Vanilla Sandalwood. On to Pharoh's Dreamsicle and AlmondCream. They seem to give good lather and slickness at a reasonable cost.

I love the Dreamsicle. Such a nice Orange scent. The Christmas is nice but only on ocation. Like being slapped in the face with a pine tree.
Sterling is nice soap and they have a lot of scents to try. And at the price its no wonder i have 6 or 7 in my cabinet.

Just got a new marble floor tile, new pack of lapping film, and strop. Downloaded a selection of shows and movies on my phone for this work week. By Wednesday, I WILL be shaving with my only straight. Plenty of sleeper berth time to whip it into shape.

    ......I hope.

I have 2 badgers, 1 synthetic badger and 8 Omega Boar brushes of varioius models.

I prefer boar brushes over the badger anytime. Break them in and lose the smell then they are soft, strong and excellent at a very reasonable price

Shaved with my $2 special this morning. With the grain and across the grain. No blood...yay. Socially acceptable shave and I know it can be improved upon. But, I’m getting there.
