Welcome. Looks like you've already spotted the entrance to several rabbit holes. There are plenty of enablers here who can help you navigate once you fall in.
Hi and welcome!
I'm a Omas f.p. lover!
Welcome! Enjoy the journey!
Welcome. Watch out for the enablers. Just kidding we’re are all enablers.
Welcome to the site. Once you get that first strop all nicked up, you can follow the strop repair threads that are posted here. Straight razor shaving is fun and easy, but you will eventually have to make the decision that you are not going to buy every blade that you find in every antique store/auction house/yard sale in Illinois. (Seventy blades is, I am starting to understand)
Welcome Josh. Make sure to read the beginner's section for good start up information. As has been said the first one can be more challenging/painful than expected but it gets better so don't be discouraged. Ditto what MrZ said. Before you know it you have 150 and still buying more. Then if you're lucky/unlucky depending on how you look at it you'll fall into strop mania, or hone envy, or brush addiction, or soap fettish. Have fun and make sure to post pics. We love pictures.

So.. your getting 2 razors off of Ebay?
The first thing is to clean them up to your satisfaction.
The second is to send them out to one of us for a proper honing.
That will give you a decent starting point.
Please do not make the mistake of having them honed first then you trying to get them cleaned up.
That never, repeat, never works.
Just my 2¢ :)
Welcome to the forum. :)
