    Default thanks for having me

Hey guys my name is Boog and I have been reading through your forums and I gotta tell you I am amazed at a few different things. One is how well this forum is ran and how well behaved the members are LOL.. really seems like one of the best groups I have seen on any message boards(being a board owner myself I wish my members acted like this group). Secondly, I am amazed at the talented members of this board. I have absolutely nothing to add to this board other than another new guy asking the same questions you have heard hundreds of times before.. so please be patient.

So now on to my very first question that i am sure will be easily answered..

which vender, if any here can I find the brass pins so I can put my scales back on?

    Thanks for reading

Welcome to SRP Boog. Hope you enjoy your visits here.

Most of us purchase 1/16 brass rod or nickel/silver rod. I get my brass rod from a local hobby shop. We also use brass or stainless steel washers. Best sourse of washers is an on lile shop named Micro Fastners: Washers - Micro Fasteners

Some vendors sell kits like these but I have not seen them in brass yet: Ersatzteile

Welcome, Boog. Where are you located? I just get my brass rods from the local ACE hardware.

    Welcome Boog!

We're glad to have you with us! Any chance of some pics of your razor once you've re-scaled it?

Good luck and keep us posted!

sure thing Stubear I dont know that it will measure up here, but I will definately post it up.

but on the brass rod the only thing I spotted at ace was 1/8 inch rod.. and some HUGE washers.. and I am not real sure how to work the micro fasteners.. does anyone show how to use them on here. .. I should do a search perhaps

AWESOME!!! thanks tons Stubear!! I spent quite a bit of time going through those posts.. especially since I am basically on dial up.. I cant watch videos.. that kind of stinks but hey.

I have also found out that my ex wife(who I get along with well) works for giant hobby warehouse and she gets a 75 percent discount on most everything including the 1/16 brass rod and few other things that are needed in this hobby.

I really think this should be put in the mass email for all newbies.. could save you mods a TON of time answering the same questions over again..

thanks again for all the help.
