    Default Greetings

    Hi, everybody.

I bought my first straight razor, a Dovo "Best Quality" 5/8" full hollow about a month ago, and I haven't touched my Mach3 since. Unlike a lot of people here, I am actually very pleased with the end results that I get from cartridge razors. But the end results are really only half of the story. The whole shaving experience is just so much improved now. If I had enough of a beard to shave twice, or three times a day, I'd do it.

Thanks to all on SRP for the advice, which has helped me get started with minimal bleeding!

Yes, same here. I've barely touched my DE razor since I started str8 razor shaving last December. Str8 razor shaving does leave one with a pretty nice feeling.

From all of us at SRP...You're quite welcome. May your future shaves only get better and better.

    Take care stengel.

    Hello, Stengle:

    Welcome to Straight Razor Place.

The pleasures of wet shaving with a straight razor blossom with each shave, until they explode in a rainbow of pleasures. After that it is too late and one's hooked. Yesssssssssssssssss!
