Hello from OakLand, CA!
Hi all,
I've been lurking in this forum since January. Back then, on a whim, I bought a Monsieur Charles (yea, I know) and ever since then, I've been HOOKED on straight edge shaving. Bought the Monsieur Charles here in OakLand:
The Shaver Shop
Now I'm itching to get a true straight. And with all the info from SRP, I might be over educated on what to get! Better to have more info than not enough.
Thanks for such a great forum, SRP!

Welcome! :)
It sounds like you have done your homework, which is great! You'll find that this research will really help you as you delve more deeply into the hobby.
Check the classifieds here as there are loads of great razors in there for excellent prices. Also have a look in the Vendors Corner forum for loads of great sites that sell all the kit you need.
Good luck and keep us posted!

Thanks for the warm welcome! I bought a straight razor from the classifieds here on SRP! And I'm waiting for a Filly strop from ruprazor. Hopefully I won't bombard the forums with too many questions.
Now, what should I do with this Monsieur Charles that I've been using? :w

Hello from Oakland
Hello, fillamento:
Your mention of the Monsieur Charles makes me miss mine. I had that razor, which I used to use for traveling. It's a nice little razor with replaceable blades. Anyway . . .
Welcome to Straight Razor Place. You have started on a good footing with plenty of enjoyment ahead.
Regards,
Obie
