Nice place you guys have here. A league of extraordinary gentlemen no doubt. Looks like almost every question that can be asked, has. I will try and entertain you with my maturation. Thanks for the opportunity to join.
I think I am a little eclectic and like to do things that others consider inconvenient as they normally pay dividends. That is how I got interested in using a straight razor. I received a gently used and perfectly maintained (no damage) gift razor from a friend. It is a Dovo Silver Steel Ebenholz. I built myself a paddle strop out of oak and cowhide and am anxious to get started with some basics and begin donating blood to my new hobby.
About me; prior military (police, survival instructor, pilot), currently law enforcement, married 15 years, no children (except my Weimaraner pup), rural resident, gardener, handyman, junk collector, and parallel thinker.
