Hello, from the sooner state

Hi guys (and gals, perhaps), thought I'd introduce myself.

I'm from Oklahoma and very new when it comes to straight razors. A few days ago I picked up a couple of old cheap razors from an antique store. So far I'm pretty disappointed to find out that the razor is the cheap part. Getting it shave ready is another story. That is fine, I figure with enough patience and a fair amount of saving my pennies, I'll be stropping and shaving in no time.

I thought I'd stop by here and learn a bit about the hone masters and soak up as much knowledge as you folks can give me.

Also I've been searching around and haven't found my answers. Is it possible to get a shaving specific acronym dictionary? BBS? DE?
